Personal Thank You from Mayor Nenshi

"To everyone at the Kristin Kares Klub: Thank you for dropping off the yummy baked goods and for giving me the opportunity to learn more about the amazing work you do! Keep up the great work - I know Kristin would be proud! Naheed Nenshi"

in response to our recent Kristin Kares Klub Flood Thank You Act of Kindness that our Outstanding Humanitarian Taylor Lambie thought of & planned out, where she made homemade Thank You cards, cookies & brownies for the RCMP, Firemen, Mayor Nenshi & Calgary Humane Society.Brenden Indigo Rothweiler & I enjoyed travelling with Taylor & her friend Christine on Mon. Aug. 26, 2013 to do this Act of Kindness in High River & Calgary. We were thanking Mayor Nenshi for his incredible leadership throughout our recent flood.

It never ceases to amaze me how things come full was two years ago when I volunteered with a young girl on the Dreams Take Flight trip (Oct. 2011) & Mayor Nenshi was with us on the trip. My Cinderella group sat just behind him in first class & he came to talk to the children. We were on his bus and I personally had the honor to see his kindness. The young girl I was with had misplaced her City pin from him so I took her to him and asked him for another. He walked the young girl & myself to a table to give her another one and both the young girl & I were very thankful. This was the Kristin Kares Klub very 1st Act of Kindness where we donated Mickey Mouse ears for all 138 children on the trip with their names personalized in Blue in Honor of Kristin's favourite colour. Kristin is happy & proud and we are Thankful for everyone who supports & believes in Kristin's Dream!!! (4 photos)

Merry Christmas everyone! I received the following email from Heidi Lambie-Mother of Taylor Lambie (the young lady from Monsignor JS Smith School who we awarded the 1st "Kristin Rothweiler Individual Outstanding Humanitarian Award" to in June 2012) about the amazing Act of Kindness that Taylor thought of and performed all on her own. Not only did Taylor do this, she also for the 2nd year in a row baked cookies and gave them to a local Police station, Fire Departments and her church on behalf and in Honor of the Kristin Kares Klub. Taylor also for the 2nd year gave myself & my family cookies that she baked on behalf of the Kristin Kares Klub. So very Thankful and Grateful! This is what it is all about and we are so proud and thankful of all that Taylor has done and continues to do. Taylor is making an incredible difference in the world while inspiring others to do the same! From the bottom of our Hearts, Thank You & Bless You Taylor! We are overwhelmed and grateful for all that you have done & all that you continue to do. "Merry Christmas EveryoneThis year for Christmas Taylor saved up her babysitting money to buy gifts for our church's Christmas hampers. There was a total of 60 gifts that included 10 t-shirts, 4 glove hat &scarf sets, 2 hockey sticks, 2 speakers, 13 puzzles, 4 hand made blankets and much more. She did this in honour of the Kristin Kares KlubHope everyone has a good Christmas and a wonderful new year.Heidi" (Lambie)
