Kristin Kares Klub Humanitarian Foundation is an organization established in Honour of Kristin's Dream of being a Humanitarian when she grew up. "People helping People, Animals and Children through and with Charitable Acts, Gifts and Donations." will be the basis of all that we aspire to do. Involving young people and inspiring them to use their own Gifts and Talents to help others will be an important focus. Teaching them how to be a part of something greater than themselves, even if it is through random Acts of Kindness. One of Kristin's heroines was Mother Teresa. Kristin exemplified how the Courage of one person's convictions truly can make an astounding Positive difference by having a ripple effect in all that knew and Loved her. All were inspired by her incredible Love for all and the Faith, Hope, Strength, Kindness and Joy that she possessed and her positivity no matter what was going on with her. Kristin Loved everyone and all creatures great and small, be it a butterfly she found on the playground with a broken wing that she took home to help or the birds that she took great Joy in feeding, video taping and taking pictures of in our back yard - she thought maybe we could even eradicate bird flu - and especially her beloved dogs Hunter and Keelo that she loved most of all.
Kristin wanted to help people and animals around the world, to eradicate any and all suffering, train to be a Vet among many other things and to ultimately inspire Peace in any way that she could. Kristin lived what she believed and saw the world not for what it is but for what it could be if everyone chose to care. Kristin's two very best friends were going to work with her to found her Klub, one even planned to become a pilot when he got older to be able to fly her around the world to do good things. Kristin was a born Leader and may not of spoken loud or even often, but when she did, people listened. Kristin's favourite colour was Blue (many quietly honour her by wearing blue), she was small in stature but she stood up unafraid for her friends and for things & causes that she was passionate about. Kristin's whole school of Monsignor JS Smith School was right with her every step of the way on her Journey and their Faith grew only stronger, even though things did not turn out the way they had hoped & wished, or especially the way Kristin herself had planned. They were inspired by her Bravery and how she rose to every challenge that came her way with her never back down attitude. They now take comfort in their Kristin being the Guardian Angel of the school watching over them all. The school embraced Kristin's Klub before it was even officially registered as a non-profit society and hosted a PJ Day Fundraiser to support and help get Kristin's Klub off the ground in May of 2011 and raised just over $1,400 in one day. All 700 students are proud members of their dear friend Kristin's Klub and are happy to be an important part of all Act's of Kindness that we have completed so far and all those yet to come. The children are happy to not only be a part of it all but to see with their own eyes the incredible difference that they are making. The school will continue to play an important role in the years to come. Kristin's personal Light was very strong and will continue to burn bright and ultimately stronger as those that Honour her Memory & Legacy stand and work together to make a positive difference in the world!
