"When I get older I am going to travel the world to help people and animals"Kristin - Age 6

Many have asked me how we came up with our name. Kristin and I originally were going to call it the "Kristin Kares Foundation" when we had planned to start it by having a huge baking party before Christmas and then send the baking to the troops overseas to let them know "Kristin Kares". Circumstances prevented us from starting it before she passed. However, before she did pass, we thought of another name together "Kristin Kares Klub Foundation". Kristin was a 12 year old girl who was going to have her friends help her start her foundation, so making it a Klub just made sense and spelling that with a K also made it easier to ensure it would be an original name to register. The "Humanitarian" is the description of who and what we are and was required to have the name legally registered. I have honoured my daughter's wishes by keeping true to the name we agreed upon and I think she would be very happy with that.

Happy to say that the Kristin Kares Klub Humanitarian Foundation has successfully completed another Act of Kindness! Thank you to our Volunteers- Sheldon Rothweiler Tanner Hughes Dylan McDaddy Mules Anisa Hoda Nolan van Ryzewyk Kassidy Paris Darlene Morris & her beautiful granddaughters Sam & Hailey for helping us bake and package ginger snaps, decorate & sign New Years cards and especially for helping us visit with and make 160 Seniors smile by giving each of them cookies & a card at the Residence at Colonel Belcher's in Calgary on Fri. Jan. 11, 2013! Thank you to Rose Marie of Colonel Belchers for allowing us to perform this Act of Kindness, the Seniors/Veterans let us know they would be happy if we came back again! (15 photos)

Our Act of Kindness for December 2012 was to Adopt a Family of 8 ($1,250) through the Calgary Kinette Club. Adopt a Family Program.

We need funds to enable us to continue performing Acts of Kindness and to help us build our 1st Kristin Kares Klubhouse in Calgary for Kids! We aim to have our organic gardens planted by May 2013 & to be well on our way to building our facility to teach children important life skills and to inspire them to help others.

Merry Christmas everyone! I received the following email from Heidi Lambie-Mother of Taylor Lambie (the young lady from Monsignor JS Smith School who we awarded the 1st "Kristin Rothweiler Individual Outstanding Humanitarian Award" to in June 2012) about the amazing Act of Kindness that Taylor thought of and performed all on her own. Not only did Taylor do this, she also for the 2nd year in a row baked cookies and gave them to a local Police station, Fire Departments and her church on behalf and in Honor of the Kristin Kares Klub. Taylor also for the 2nd year gave myself & my family cookies that she baked on behalf of the Kristin Kares Klub. So very Thankful and Grateful!

This is what it is all about and we are so proud and thankful of all that Taylor has done and continues to do. Taylor is making an incredible difference in the world while inspiring others to do the same! From the bottom of our Hearts, Thank You & Bless You Taylor! We are overwhelmed and grateful for all that you have done & all that you continue to do.

THANK YOU TO Steve Morris of Morris Design Studios for putting his Heart in It by designing our Logo and Event Stamp for our Klub with his gifts and talents. Steve had never even met Kristin but was happy to help us out and was inspired to do so by his parents, Dar & Steve Morris (Vintage Catering Group Calgary, AB.), who did know Kristin and saw how amazing & helpful she was from a young age as a volunteer by my side. They called her my "Mini Me". THANK YOU to the Morris Family for their love & support!
